New Fund Supports Musical Instrument Programs for Students in West Perry School District
The West Perry Mustang Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of the Harry Overholtzer Memorial Fund for Instrumental Music. This new fund was made possible by a generous donation from Harry’s widow, Janet Overholtzer, of Shermans Dale.
Harry and Janet were married for 50 years and devoted much of their lives to community service. They shared a passion for music and recognized the positive impact playing musical instruments can have on the lives of children.
Unfortunately, not all families can afford to purchase and maintain musical instruments. The West Perry Mustang Foundation will use this fund to bring the joy of playing musical instruments to more students who live in the West Perry School District.
For more information about the program, students and parents are encouraged to discuss their needs with the music teachers or guidance counselors at their school.
The mission of the West Perry Mustang Foundation is to enhance the academic, civic, cultural, and wellness activities of students residing in the West Perry School District through community engagement and financial support.
The West Perry Mustang Foundation is designated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Donations made to the foundation are tax-deductible.
Donations can be made to the West Perry Mustang Foundation at PO Box 171, Shermansdale, PA 17090, or online at https://wpmustangfoundation.org
